Hi, If you have an interest in Chu-Bops or if you're looking to purchase Chu-Bops, you've come to the right place. Hopefully you'll find this site informative and useful to you as a "manic" or "novice" collector. Check out our many items. We are always on the "lookout" to PURCHASE " Chu-Bops" or other Bops related Memorabilia or music memorabilia.

"Chu-Bops" were first introduced into the U.S. market place as a "novelty item" manufactured by the Amurol Confection Company located in Naperville, Illinois in the early 1980’s through 1983. Each 3" X 3" inch mini album had the picture of a large sized L.P. and came in several individual collector sets with a piece of bubble gum shaped in the form of a round record album inside. Each "Bop" had a number on the back of the album so the collector could populate their collection more easily. Once opened, each "Bop album" included the lyrics to a hit song, pictures of the artist or special offers from Amurol.

Amurol also released a single set of six different "Chu-Bops" in the European countries as a test of the foreign markets. "Chu-Bops" also went by the name of "Hit Pops" and "Chu-Pops" and were test marketed in England, Japan, Netherlands, Finland, Denmark and Norway. Sales flopped and the project failed and were rapidly phased out never to be produced again.
THESE ARE VERY HARD TO FIND and WE have some MINT AND OPEN ONES
When "Chu-Bops" first appeared in stores they were each sold at a price of 29 cents per "album", and the special collectors editions Elvis ,Beatles and Rolling Stones were only 33 cents per "album".
If you are an avid fan or casual collector you will note that these same 3" X 3" inch gum pieces are currently selling anywhere from to $4 Dollars to as much as $12 per Bops piece, depending on their rarity and condition.
A Complete Box Set of Elvis, The Stones and The Beatles are currently selling at auctions anywhere from $300 to $500 Dollars per boxed set (Each "Box Set" contained 64 mini albums).
