When chu-bops first appeared in stores I thought
these would be great collectors items. Here we are now and darned if they aren't. I started my collection originally in
1981 but it seemed then no one really cared about them. So eventually I stopped collecting and liquidated all I had. What
a mistake! At that time everything was available for chu-bops and it was cheap! The records, the collectors albums, the
counter displays, etc. The chu-bops were 35 cents each and the collectors albums were a dollar. Recently I saw a chu-bops
counter display with a 2 complete sets of Rollings Stones chu-bops selling for $95!. A complete counter display will hold
64 chu-bop albums. And Ive heard that a complete collection with collectors albums was auctioned for over a thousand dollars!
Truely chu-bops are something to be collected, if not for the value, but just for memorabilia.
During the early
80's music was making a transition from Rock and Disco into New Wave. Personally I feel that the 70's were a great age for
creating the foundation for all future music.This website is a place to learn about chu-bops and to buy chu-bops that you need
